Author Birthdays
I can't pick a favorite out of February's birthday author babies, there are so many good ones. Many of them (Joyce, Auster, Stein, Burroughs, Morrison) share a love for playing with language and stretching form to its breaking point. Speaking of love, what would February be without Valentine's Day ? Well cold, miserable and full of snow if you live up here in the North with me. Anyways, in honor of that day of hearts and cupids, I choose the most romantic of the February authors: Edna St. Vincent Millay and her lively, sensitive collection entitled SELECTED POEMS.
