THE NOTEBOOK by Nicholas Sparks - This was an extremely good love story that could be read by teens or adults
A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN by Betty Smith - This was a great book, and although usually thought of for teens, it could be read by adults because of its content.

Five of my favorite books that could be considered adult titles are:
-FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON: It is a really good book, and I found myself crying at the end.
-A WALK TO REMEMBER: it is about teenagers, and it made me cry, too.
-PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: Although most books from the Victorian era are hard to read, I really liked this one.
REVIVING OPHELIA - this is a nonfiction book about teenage girls now, how media affects us... it gives insight into the lives of other girls.
I also really liked HAMLET - I had to read that one in school, though.

SIDDHARTHA by Herman Hesse THE FIRM by John Grisham
*****
FAHRENHEIT 451 is a good book because it talks about censorship and how limiting people`s free speech leads to a messed-up society. THE HITCHHIKER`S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY is technically an adult book because of some of its humor, but it isn`t that "inappropriate." Most of Terry Pratchett`s Discworld books are in the adult section, but I think teens would love their zany fantasy humor.
