Chick lit and romance books look like good reads for the summer. I prefer to read lighter, funnier books during the summer and more serious ones during the winter. Some of the one's I'm looking forward to are STARTLED BY HIS FURRY SHORTS, the seventh book in the Georgia Nicholson series, and BRAS AND BROOMSTICKS, written by Sarah Mlynowski. However, THE OBSERVATIONS, written by Jane Harris, also looks very interesting, so while I don't usually read fairly serious books during the summer, I am definitely going to read this book.

I've actually read a lot this summer, but there's one book I've been waiting for foreve,r and it's coming out in August --- NEW MOON by Stephenie Meyer. I loved TWILIGHT and I know the rest of the series will be just as great.
Another book that is coming out soon is THE PROVOST'S DOG by Tamora Pierce, an absolutely fantastic writer.
The last would be revisiting old favorties like Harry Potter, ERAGON, etc.

Well, first for me is WAR AND PEACE. I love Tolstoy. He's my favorite author. That's so weird of me, but I even read his obscure short stories and what not.
Then THE FOURTH BEAR by Jasper Fforde. I've read all of his books so far and have been waiting for this one since I finished THE BIG OVER EASY.
Lastly, is maybe WOE FROM WIT by A.S. Griboyedov, I think. I got the book, but it turned out to be in Russian, so I'm going to have to work on that.
Either that or A SUITABLE BOY by Vikram Seth --- this really massive thing, bigger than WAR AND PEACE. But I've got summer homework and a huge trip to Europe, so I may never get to any of it. Especially the book in Russian.

I'm definitely excited to read DIAL L FOR LOSER by Lisi Harrison! I am such a fan, she is an incredible author! I've been waiting all year for this book!! The 2nd book is PETER AND THE SHADOW THIEVES. The authors are amazing. I love the first book and how well they described everything!!! The last book would have to be THE WITCH OF BLACKBIRD POND by Elizabeth George Speare. I have heard about that book for a while and finally bought it.
