Absolutely, without a doubt, TWILIGHT and NEW MOON by Stephenie Meyer. Although I often recommend good books to friends who are curious about what's "out there" these days, Stephenie Meyer's books are what I find myself shoving onto others. Such a different contrast from the usual "teen dribble" that runs rampant these days, Stephenie Meyer's books artfully and tastefully combine the appeal of the supernatural, as well as the maudlin chick appeal of true love. What could be better? Or, a more pertinent question, who can resist?

Most definitely Brandon Sanderson's first novel, ELANTRIS, would be my number one recommendation. It transcends the stereotypical fantasy, mixing in mystery, suspense, science fiction, and even romance. I could not put this book down until it was finished, and when I finally did, I sat and thought for at least a half an hour about what I had just read.

Recently, it's been OPHELIA by Lisa Klein, but overall, I've probably given the most recommendations for any book by Tamora Pierce, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, or Scott Westerfeld!

Probably a book I just recently finished, called BETWEEN MOM AND JO. It's a story about a young boy who has lesbian parents --- his real mom, and her partner, Jo. It's about how the main character, Nick, deals with having two moms, and copes with the marital problems they start having. It's such a compelling story. I couldn't put it down.

The book that I have recommened the most to people is INKHEART, along with INKSPELL, by Cornelia Funke.

I would have to definitely have to say INKHEART by Cornelia Funke. It is one one the most amazing books I have ever read. It has in-depth characters who you automatically love. If I could name two, the second would be TWILIGHT by Stephenie Meyer, a novel about romance and vampires that I couldn't put down for a minute.

I've recommended SAINT by Ted Dekker to so many people. Nearly ten of them have read and loved it already, and everyone else is just waiting for the copy to make its way around our little group. It's a thrilling book about an assassin with the power to change the world. It's fast paced and absolutely un-put-down-able.

SOPHIE'S WORLD by Jostein Gaarder, an amazing book.

THE YEAR OF SECRET ASSIGNMENTS by Jaclyn Moriarty. It's my very favorite book ever, and anyone can read and enjoy it because there are so many different things that make up the story.

Without a doubt, it has to be JAYD'S LEGACY from the Drama High series. I think it's so awesome how she tries her best to stay in her interracial relationship, despite all the drama that was going on.

It's in the Blue is for Nightmares series (fantastic!). There is also WHITE IS FOR MAGIC (wasn't as good), and RED IS FOR REMEMBRANCE is the newest one. SILVER IS FOR SECRETS was the 3rd book, and I absolutely LOVED IT. The book made my heart throb, made me laugh nonstop, and sent shivers down my spine at times. It's full of magic (not the wizardy type, though), suspense and romance. You won't put this book down once you start. But if you do want to read this book, start with BLUE IS FOR NIGHTMARES.
I HIGHLY recommend this book.

SHRIMP by Rachel Cohn

Pretty much every book by Jaclyn Moriarty, and the same goes for Gordon Korman. She's brilliantly witty and he's just plan old funny.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO LARRY - It is an amazingly clever, brilliant book with a seriously unique idea. WHAT HAPPENED TO LANI GARVER? is another one, for the same reasons, despite the fact that it's a completely different type of story.
