I am looking forward to reading the 7th Harry Potter book, DIARY OF A CRUSH, and MY DESPERATE LOVE DIARY.

Midnighters #3. The entire series has just kept me riveted. Every time I pick up one of those books, I need to make sure I have a few hours because I will finish the whole thing before I put it down. It's just a great fast-paced story.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (again), because it's such and awesome story. Poor meets rich, love overcomes all, hearts are broken, and all the sisters are totally cool.

None. I love to read but none of them sound that exciting!

CUPCAKE by Rachel Cohn because my friend and I call each other our cupcakes and our boyfriends our frosting, so it just goes with our 4-year little inside joke.

I also love Rachel Cohn's writing, and I really admire her work. I read GINGERBREAD and SHRIMP, and she is a great novelist; it's like real life.

I'd say that NEW MOON is that book, which is sad, particularly because I finished that some time ago and have read a number of books between then and now.

It is kind of a split decision. I have to read three books: THE RED BADGE OF COURAGE by Stephen Crane, JANE EYRE by Charlotte Brontė and 1984 by George Orwell.

While JANE EYRE is the thickest, I love the story. At first I hated RED BADGE, but it is ok now. The fact that it is thin makes it much more likable. And 1984 is a classic I always intended to read anyway, as was JANE EYRE, so I'm glad that we can read it. Also, it isn't that thick either.

The books that I want to read are The Cairo Triology by Naguib Mahfouz, and ANGELS & DEMONS and THE DIGITAL FORTRESS by Dan Brown.

We are required to read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
It sounds like a great book. I love books, so I will probably enjoy it. I have even read my older brother's, who is 16, required book.

I'm not really required to read this summer. It was said we *should* but we don't have to. I got out of school on June 21st, and I've already read 3 books. The one I got that I am most looking forward to reading is The Wereling series.

I do not have a summer reading list. I wish they gave us a list of books that would help us or improve our intelligence, but is not required.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS! I can't wait for July 21st! My summer list is huge, but the one that is high on the list of anticipations is this one... along with ECLIPSE.

I am going to start 9th grade and have had summer reading since 6th, and a list of books for your enjoyment (not required) from grades 1 -5.

I started reading a book called REBECCA (not the one by Carol Matas, some other one) and I didn't like it. I have already read the required book last year and I really enjoyed it. I am also going to read BLACK LIKE ME and THE SUMMER OF MY GERMAN SOLDIER as my chosen reading.

At the beginning of the summer, I was most looking forward to reading THE KITE RUNNER. I recently finished reading it, and I definitely was not disappointed. The book was really interesting and informative, though it was a novel.

I'm looking forward to reading THE SPIRIT CATCHES YOU AND YOU FALL DOWN because it's about a child from a different culture getting treatment in the U.S. It's a different kind of book from what I would normally read.

I am most looking forward to reading the book called THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES. It is about a young girl who lives in the South and is forced to live with many old women who keep bees. The book looks difficult to read but should be an exciting challenge.
