I would give my friend who likes philosophy the book THE PIG THAT WANTS TO BE EATEN: 100 Experiments for the Armchair Philosopher, because it can keep your mind working hard.

And I would give one of my best friends, Troy, James Patterson's MAXIMUM RIDE: THE ANGEL EXPERIMENT, because when I told him about it, he said he wanted to check it out.

For any teenage girl, I would give Alyson Noel's ART GEEKS AND PROM QUEENS (a very good book about learning how to be yourself and to be confident). I also loved the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and the Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison. These books were filled with romance, mystery, and some great LOL moments. A must for any teenage girl.
