*****

AN encyclopaedia. It will wow everyone!

*****

Pride and the Prejudice

*****

WAR AND PEACE --- it never fails to impress because everyone is familiar with the title. It's easy to get away with because no one really knows what it's about. And if nothing else, it's pretty safe to rely on the sheer gargantuan size of the novel to blow people away.

*****

Life is not about impressing people, but if I were trying to impress people, I would probably carry around THE ODYSSEY. There is so much depth to that epic poem and you can tell just by looking at it that there is a lot of information. Truly, you cannot have a good book without information and intelligence, both of which Homer put a lot of into his tale. So if I was trying to impress someone with my reading I would definitely carry around THE ODYSSEY.

THE FOUNTAINHEAD usually gets some impressive looks, but my number-one book to carry around would have to be INKHEART. I have met few people who recognize it, so when they ask what it's about, I go on for hours and hours on end talking about the novel. Usually it impresses nobody and they try and sneak away, but I still feel like every once and a while, somebody must think in their minds, "Wow, that girl knows her stuff!"
