Other than Eragon from my dad, I just got a TON of Barnes and Noble gift ceretificates. I have over 400 books just in the three book shelves in my room (there are more in other areas of the house and a lot in the garage too)so nobody knows what books I have, let alone what I haven't read and what to get me. But, with some of the gift ceretificates I got, I've already gotten: The Thief Lord, by Cornelia Funke, Daughter of Venice, by Donna Jo Napoli, Dr. Franklin's Island, by Ann Halam, Gossip Girl #2 You know You Love Me, which is by Cecily von Ziegesar, and this book on President Johnson, which I got cause of that "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" documentary on the History Channel was pretty interesting.

Considering my parents have listened to me talk about The Protector of the Small series by Tamora Pierce, all the time, they finally decided to buy the series for me.
I think that if you express your likes and dislikes about certain books. The people around you will take notice of what you like and don't like. But that is just my opinion, I let people know how I feel about a book with out even holding back about what I didn't like about it.

I got this book called Blue is for Nightmares by Laurie Faria Stolarz. I ended up reading it on Christmas day and was up into three int he morning cuz i couldn't put the thing down. the main character is a wiccan and she does spells to try and save her roommate who she thinks is going to die in a few days. she thinks this cuz she has these freaky nightmares that predict the future. Seriously, such a good book. its now one of my favorites and I read all the time. I also got the latest Buffy book, but haven't read it yet.

I got the first book of the "Claidi Journals" called Wolf Tower. This book is incredibly exciting; I could relate to the character. There is no dull area in this book. It is full of action, adventure and some romance (but not too much). Because I enjoyed this book so much, I bought the next book, Wolf Star, which I read. After Wolf Star, there is Wolf Queen and Wolf Wing. The whole series is exciting to the last page. It is a combination of fantasy and sci-fi, with numerous twists.

I got Lord of the Rings: Weapons and Warfare. It's great! Really detailed, and told as if the races of Middle-Earth actually exist. I highly recommend it to any LOTR fans, especially fans of the movies.

I recieved 'Live From New York.' It covers all that has and is going on down at 30 Rock. It's a wonderful book about 'Saturday Night Live' and comedy. There's 600 pages and not one of them did I not like.

for the holidays, i got:

1. Gossip Girl 1-5 (i checked them out from the library so much, my gramma bought them for me!!)

2. Flipped, good book, interesting end.

3. Define Normal, very good book. Deals with real-life issues.
4. Ella Enchanted, it was one of my fave., books when i was in 6th grade.

I got two great, but different, books. I read The Thief Lord, a book about two brothers trying to escape their aunt by living w/ a group of outsiders in Italy, their late mother's favorite place in the world. Their adventures have them running away from their aunt's pesky detective and uncovering secrets that surprise the reader.
I also read Breathing Underwater. This book is about Nick, the popular guy at school who falls in love w/ Caitlin, the unpopular fat girl who turns into the pretty shy girl. But things turn ugly when Nick finds himself acting like his father. Really good book! I recommend The Thief Lord to fiction/fantasy lovers, and Breathing Underwater to fiction/teen book lovers.
