NEW AND NEWISH IN PAPERBACK

Sometimes you just don't feel like throwing down $20 for a book…therein lies the beauty of the paperback.

Of course, there are certain downsides to the paperback --- like their considerably shorter shelf life (ha! get it?); the new, shockingly lame covers they give books that have recently been made into movies; or, worse yet, the Oprah Book Club insignia seared onto the covers of formerly cool books --- but on the whole, paperbacks are a godsend to those of us who look at a $20 bill and think: lunch for a week.

So, in celebration of the under appreciated softcover, Teenreads.com is bringing you reviews of eight great new paperbacks. Now put that extra money towards something special…like buying Lucy and Serena Burns matching "I'm With Stupid" T-shirts.
