This Week in Book History
A quick poll of the Teenreads.com staff revealed that our top three most memorable books from childhood were: (1) THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE by C. S. Lewis (2) A WRINKLE IN TIME by Madeline L' Engle and (3) WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS by Shel Silverstein. Well, it just so happens that September 25th marks the 69th birthday of Mr. Silverstein. Oh, and here's a little known fact about everybody's favorite childhood poet: he was a cartoonist for Playboy magazine!!
