One of the books that I have read that I really enjoyed is The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah. It is a very interesting book. Another book that I truly recommend is lost boy lost girl by Peter Straub. It is about a woman called Nancy Underhill who commits suicide for no apparent reason. And a week later her son, fifteen-year-old Mark, vanishes. You really have to read these books. They are great!!

I recommend the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison. I read the last two on the plane. I think everyone who was on that plane hated me because I was laughing so much. So be careful reading them in public!!!
GuessGirl81@aol.com
I recommend reading The Princess Diaries series! The books are much better than the movies (aren't they all?) because...well, I can't give it away but trust me on this one. You could almost relate to Mia...except for the whole princess thing!
northernicewater@yahoo.com

cherryblossomsakura2111@hotmail.com

Kathy411712@netscape.net
My mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the summer of 2001. She was okay for almost three years, but just recently her cancer spread and was in surgery yesterday. I was inspired by the book Don't Die, My Love by Lurlene McDaniel because I could relate to the main character, who had to cope with her boyfriend's form of Lymphoma. Reading that book, I got courage and strength to deal with cancer and hope.
Tavewave12@aol.com
I recently finished The Key to the Golden Firebird by Maureen Johnson. It was a great book!! All about three sisters and how they live after their dad's death. 5 stars.
sleepybeck@aol.com
I just finished Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce. It's the sequel to Trickster's Choice and both of them are great. I couldn't put it down.
stargirl_98@msn.com
I'm reading Planet Janet by Dyan Sheldon. I love the way he writes from the mind of a teenaged girl!!
maliababy@bellsouth.net
I have just read A Time for Dancing by Davida Wills Hurwin. It was one of the best written books I have read (and I have read many). This book actually made me cry at the very end, and that has never happened to me...ever. It was a GREAT book!
AllStarPink8@aol.com
Two of my very favorite books are This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. They both get perfect tens from me because they're both so real and perfectly written. All the characters are easy to relate to and you get involved in the story. There is truly never a dull moment. I definitely recommend these books to anyone who has a spare moment and is looking for a good book.
PatientlyMelissa@yahoo.com
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli captures love at its finest point, childhood. When everything seems so easy and forgiving, Jerry Spinelli sweeps us away with a sunset of beautiful characters each with their own flaws. Stargirl is an inspirational book for all those aspiring to figure out who they are and where they fit in the plans of the world. I recommend this book to any teenager or…well, anyone. It has the makings of a classic. I rate it 10 out of 10 stars.
javaqueen11@yahoo.com
I recommend the book Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. It's inspiring and we should all live our lives as the characters do.
cinder9554@yahoo.com
Over this Christmas break, I have read many books. Caribbean Cruising by Rachel Hawthorne is a wonderful romance for any girl. I would give it 5 stars.
alwaysnutty528@yahoo.com
The young adult fiction book Beauty Sleep, written by Cameron Dokey, was a page-turning experience. I stayed up until 2 a.m. just to finish this book. The classic story with a twist. It's a wonderful read. So pick it up!

I read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It was the best book I have read, and probably will ever read. Well, except for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which was phenomenal.
marko112486@yahoo.com
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. 4 stars.
A story about a young girl forced to be a loner because she busted an end-of-summer party by calling the cops. This ended up getting some people in trouble with their parents and others getting fired from their job. Calling the cops during the biggest party of the year is something you do not do when you're in high school. Even more devastating is the truth of why she called the cops. But even when she tells someone, they say she is fibbing and turn against her even more.
Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements. 5 stars.
This is another amazing story. When I first read the back I thought it was about a boy going blind and trying to cope with it. Wrong. It is an amazing story about a boy who wakes up one day and can't see himself in the mirror. He has turned invisible and doesn't know why. He desperately tries to cope with it. One day he ventures out into the world not being able to be seen and finds the love and friendship of his life in the strangest place --- the library. Together, with the blind girl he literally ran into, they start a journey to recover his lost identity.
Breaking Rank by Kristen D. Randle. 5 stars.
Wow is all I can say about this book. It is simply that great. The clan is a group of kids who all lean on each other for support and live life by their own rules. They are looked down upon because they dress in black and have their own ranks for each other. No one has ever heard them talk; in school everyone thinks they are stupid because all they do is stare at walls all day and never do any work. They learn all of life's lessons on the street.
One day the principal starts to corner them one by one to try to get them to take a test that will show how much they know. Finally, one gives in and takes it against the knowledge of his brothers. He is put in honor classes and is given one of the most popular and sweetest girls as a tutor. She is the complete opposite of him. Things start off slow as he will barely talk to her, but slowly he gains her trust and opens up to her. But what happens when the jocks find out that she is spending all her time with a clan member, and what will the clan do when they find out that one of their highest ranked members is going against their teachings? What will the girl's parents say when they find out that their innocent, trustworthy daughter is spending all of her free time with a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Almost like a Romeo and Juliet story but better.
Joyride by Gretchen Olson. 5 stars.
It all started with a little fun --- just a small joyride --- but it all turned bad when they decided to go joyride in a farmer's field and hit something (sounds like they hit the farmer but they didn't). The main character is brought back to his house in handcuffs and has to work for the farmer over the summer to pay off his debt, giving up the summer country club tennis and his girl to go work on a farm picking strawberries. What he doesn't expect to find on the farm is lessons in life, new friends, new respect for some things, and maybe even a new love.
vegan_marshmallow@hotmail.com
I'm reading Carolyn Mackler's Vegan Virgin Valentine and it's a really cute and funny book so far. I can really relate to the main character, even though I'm really nothing like her. I'm almost done and I'd give it 4 stars out of 5.
lv2kyak@verizon.net
I am in the middle of a book called Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I love books that are all about castles, war, love, romance, mystical worlds, lies, truths revealed, magical creatures, and royalty! Somehow, those are the books that reel me in and don't let go. It's like my mind enters another reality through the author's words.
laketown_jenn90@hotmail.com
The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty. 5 stars.
Awesome book!
Feeling Sorry for Celia by Jaclyn Moriarty. 5 stars.
Very funny book.
Princess in Waiting by Meg Cabot. 5 stars.
I love the Princess books!
A Certain Chemistry by Mil Millington. 4 stars.
A pretty good book. More adult-oriented, but very funny nevertheless.
leona4eva87@hotmail.com
Judy Blume is a great writer, and I think all teen girls who like a laugh should read Superfudge.
leona4eva87@hotmail.com
I've just finished reading Such a Perfect Sister by Donna Hay (the author of kiss and tell). This book is about two sisters fighting over a boy. It shows great voice and spirit. Besides not being able to put the book down as it was too good, I realized I could picture every word in my head!
girlsjstwn2hvfn@netscape.net
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. A magical love story that will stick with me forever. It truly is remarkable!
rakanigan@yahoo.com
I love the Gossip Girl books! They are definitely for teen girls but they are great books if you are just looking for a quick read. They are trashy books but they are books about teens whose lives you wish you had but at the same time you wish you didn't. The tales of these teens and their troubles are very interesting and keep you on your seat the whole time because you never know what's going to happen next. In every book things change. There are changes all the time and everywhere and to every person. This is a great read and I think all teen girls would love them!
Geography Club by Brent Hartinger. This was one of my all-time favorite young adult books. This book really made me look at the different types of people in the world differently and have a different perspective. I found this book great for both teen girls and boys. It is a very quick read with excruciating detail. It makes you look at people differently after you complete this great book.
Puss_in_Boots28@hotmail.com
I am re-reading "The Mediator" series by Meg Cabot (she is awesome!) for the 100,000th time. I have read all the books except the 4th and the 6th, which I can't find anywhere. If anyone else has read and loved this series, I would love to hear from you!! I give this series 5 stars.
I also like the Redwall series. I give Rakkety Tam (the latest book) 4 stars.
tif123@gmail.com
I just finished the last book in the "His Dark Materials" trilogy (although I hear there will be another book, The Book of Dust, added). The Amber Spyglass is an amazing book, and the series is on par with "Lord of the Rings" as a fantasy epic. 4 stars.
missmimistar@yahoo.co.uk
I recommend Hard Love by Ellen Wittlinger. She is an inspirational writer to many, many teens. I give this book 9 out of 10 because it has a great story and really makes you think about day-to-day life and how you treat and respect other people. It also has a positive message along with a very serious one concerning love.
ggirl490@yahoo.com
I just finished reading Twilight: Mediator #6 by Meg Cabot. It was my favorite book of the series and an awesome book all together. It rocked. I read it in less than a day because I couldn't put it down. I would give it 5 stars.
heidotten5@sbcglobal.net
This Christmas I read Amy by Mary Hooper. It was a FABULOUS book. And the ending was phenomenal!
hjobelius@hotmail.com
For the young adult girls, any books by Jane Green. They are superbly witty and have a dash of spunk and hilarity to them.
ilv4@yahoo.com
I love One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies. It is awesome! It's about a teen whose mother dies and she is forced to live with her movie star dad. And she hates it! You will laugh, you will cry, but when you read the ending you will jump out of your seat when you find out...well I guess you'll have to read the book to find out. Email me with your favs. And to anybody who has read Speak, what is it about???
supernatural1210@yahoo.com
I am reading True Confessions of a Heartless Girl by Martha Brooks. It is the best I've read!!!!
sanyalamartinez@yahoo.com
I think you should read the Harry Potter series because the books are so interesting. Especially because they have movies on them so first you can picture it in your mind and then watch the movie.
kerriberry414@yahoo.com
I am reading the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I would recommend this to any teenage girls who enjoy a book that you just can't put down. This book is a real page-turner.

jclwn@yahoo.com
I just finished a really suspenseful book called All Around the Town by Mary Higgins Clark. It's about a girl named Laurie. When she was 4 years old, she was kidnapped and abused for two years straight by a man and his wife. Then they dropped her off at a school in a town far from her home, and told her that if she EVER said anything about what happened those two years, they would kill her!
Then, when Laurie was 21 and in college, her two parents died in a freak bus accident. After that tragic incident, Laurie started developing multiple personalities. From that day on, Laurie started showing her personalities more and more, and then finally…WHAM! She kills a man. Also, she is being stalked by her abductors, who were turned famous because of the airing of their church services. You won't want to put this book down. It has suspense, romance, horror, comedy…EVERYTHING!! It's a book for everyone, so how could you lose? You will be dying to find out: Will Laurie ever be normal again? Will the abductors ever stop being weird? Is Laurie going to ever tell anybody about what happened those two years away from home? Read this book to find out. You won't be disappointed!
dolphingirl17@cs.com
I just finished reading the first five books in Meg Cabot's "Mediator" series. They are Shadowland, The Ninth Key, Reunion, Darkest Hour, and Haunted. They are really good --- not at all like your normal ghost stories.
katie_tp@yahoo.com
Premonitions by Jude Watson
Teen Idol by Meg Cabot
Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech
Look for Me By Moonlight by Mary Downing Hahn
meagan_berry@hotmail.com
Girl with a Pearl Earring was one of the best books I have ever read. It was simple and didn't have much of a story line, but it was interesting and the characters seemed real. 5 stars.
Napoleon and Josephine was not as good as I hoped it would be. The story was interesting, but it seemed like just facts from a history book. There really wasn't much of a story line and you didn't get to know the characters. I won't read anything by Hausman again. 2 stars.
A Walk to Remember was really good. It was a good story and I felt everything the characters felt. It made me cry a lot at the end. 4 stars.
I've almost finished the Arthur Trilogy by Kevin Crossley-Holland. They have to be some of my favorite books. The first one was the best so far.
Lindsays@ligtel.com
I think everybody should read Romiette and Julio by Sharon M. Draper. It's an awesome book about a girl who finds her true love by talking on the Internet it's really inspired me not to give up. I think it is the best book of all time!
emarieb_@msn.com
Organizing from the Inside Out For Teens by Julie Morgenstern & Jessi Morgenstern-Colon is great for making the most out of life. It helps you to use your time effectively and actually get things done. I'm excided to see the results when I get done reading this book.
jklendol@hotmail.com
I'm reading The Kingdoms & the Elves of the Reaches by Robert Stanek. I love it!
sararandall@charter.net
I strongly recommend Confessions of a Shopaholic, along with other titles by Sophie Kinsella like Shopaholic Ties the Knot. I have read these two novels and am excited to read the following books by Kinsella. I was able to relate to the character in every way. I usually don't fancy reading about peoples lives and their everyday things, but this book has funny and tearful events that occur to the main character, Rebecca Bloomfield. I would recommend this book to any girl from the ages of 13-100.
shamrock_amy@hotmail.com
I'm reading Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce and it's just as good as all her others. It's fantasy and an awesome sequel!!!
lilmissangel11@comcast.net
I would have to say Once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris is my favorite book. It was so good --- comedy and real life in a fairy tale format. I just loved it! 5 stars.
bball4life@aol.com
I read The Secret Life of Bees and that book is great.
lizinwonderland@yahoo.com
I just got through reading The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah. It was raw, compelling, drew me right in. When the main character met up with one of her many problems, it felt like it was my problem too. A brilliant piece of writing, I was stunned by Winter's spoiled eloquence. She was just plain nasty, in an intriguing, homie sort of way. This ghetto girl goes from living it large to living it low.
amiles@erps.k12.mi.us
I just finished A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. What a great coming-of-age story! I just love Mattie.
southernpixie2@yahoo.com
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (5 stars) and The Second Summer of the Sisterhood (5 stars) by Ann Brashares. When I read the titles I thought the books would be weird, but I read them and they're fantastic. It's probably more for girls, though.
The Alice series (5 stars) by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor is great, too.
nme1103@aol.com
Tears of a Tiger by Sharon Draper. Honestly, one of the best books ever! So good! I usually read one chapter a night, but I honestly couldn't go to sleep because I wanted to find out what happened next!
castingcrownslover@yahoo.com
I read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. He is that author of The Da Vinci Code. The book is about a virus that gets into the world's largest and most advanced (not to mention expensive) computer in the world. As is typical of Dan Brown, the whole thing takes place over the course of a few hours. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed The Da Vinci Code or likes computers.
animika34@hotmail.com
Too good to be rated!
Eragon: Inheritance, Book One by Christopher Paolini
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie (my hero). ALL MYSTERY FANS! YOU'LL LOVE IT! The ending is AWESOME!
50 Facts That Should Change the World by Jessica Williams
gkamae@atlas.valenciacc.edu
The Alison Rules by Catherine Clark gets 5 stars, but I must warn you it is very sad. You might want to break out the tissues while you're reading it.
Also, another good read is Pulling Princes by Tyne O'Connell. This book also gets 5 stars for its hilarious happenings. It is, however, the first book in an upcoming series, so if you're not the type to commit to a series, you might not want to start.
helium_hamster@hotmail.com
I am currently making my way through "His Dark Materials." It is a mind-blowing trilogy that follows the lives of Will and Lyra. Will has set out to find his missing father after becoming a murderer at 12, and Lyra is in an entirely different world searching desperately for answers as to why The Church is torturing innocent kids. It is an awesome trilogy! All junior high kids and older kids will love all three books.
perlaky@sssnet.com
I read The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan and found it to be entirely truthful and real. Levithan wrote with such passion that you believed that he took 20 different people's lives, instead of writing them all himself. It is an honest look into the lives of high schoolers told entirely in poetry and essays, and I couldn't think of anyone else getting as close to the real thing. Well done, Mr. Levithan! It was a quick read, but well worth it!
perlaky@sssnet.com
I read The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. It was a very touching look at human lives, and the kind of impact we have on other people without even knowing it. There is something that will touch everyone in this book, from laughing, to cold hard truth, to tears or sorrow, and joy. A well-written and very descriptive book that makes you feel like you're one of Eddie's friends waiting for his story to be finished.
oscrthgrch12@aol.com
I am reading Doomed Queen Anne and it's about Queen Ann Boleyn. It's good but it's kinda graphic, but I still loved it. 5 stars.
RideGosiip@aol.com
I'm just about finished with A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. It's such an amazing book I can hardly ever put it down!
misunderstood89@juno.com
I just finished Demon in My View by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. It was great! I never would have thought I'd like it so much. Stranger With My Face by Lois Duncan is also a good book. I'm still in the process of reading it, but it's great so far. I read random stuff...any genre, it's all good!
wild_and_wacky82@hotmail.com
Right now I am reading Don Quixote and I just finished a series called Everworld.
gkamae@atlas.valenciacc.edu
Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison was an okay book. I'd give it a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. It was hilariously funny in some parts but the storyline is somewhat lacking.
angelerica@hotmail.com
I am reading The Venetian Policeman from the "Missing Persons" series by M.E. Rabb. The books are all great, and keep you reading and reading until they solve the mystery. It's a great mystery series for girls and does not just focus on the cases they are solving, but other stuff too.
animika34@hotmail.com
The Notebook was AWESOME! I cried like a baby! The last chapter was by far the best chapter! It's perfect!
I love Eragon and I can't wait for the sequel!
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd! This has got to be the best murder mystery book of all time! I love Agatha Christie!! The books above are all amazing, and if you haven't read them then you don't know what you're missing! Have fun!
sclub765@yahoo.com
I just finished reading Miracle's Boys by Jacqueline Woodson. It's awesome and has a great meaning that everyone can grasp and be encouraged by.
Sgooch@canada.com
Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding is a hilarious read. Bridget is a very funny and self-conscious person. Daniel is very sexist but is still funny. Her mom is really crazy. I adore this book a lot. 5 stars.
lil_pink_aquarius@hotmail.com
The book I recently read is also the book I highly recommend. That book is A Rose for Melinda by Lurlene McDaniel. It's actually a really great book that talks about friendship and love. It's a really touching story. A lot of my friends love it. You would too! 5 stars.
Another great book I read was A Different Kind of Beauty by Syliva McNicoll. It's about blindness. It's a good book, but some parts may be a bit boring. But it's still good. 3 stars.
bluedog78749@yahoo.com
I'm reading A Lesson Before Dying, which by far is a great book.
