Katie
The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the fourth book in the Blue Bloods series and is the best so far. I can't put it down. I love it so much.

Jean
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Rating: 5 Stars
OMG! I thought this book was really good. At the end, I couldn't stop crying. it was so sad, but I loved it. One of the best books.

Harman
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is best in The Hunger Games series so far. I can't wait for the next book.

Lollipop
Bran Hambric by Kaleb Nation
Rating: 3 Stars
It was OK. I really only read it because Kaleb is a friend of mine, but it was pretty good. I liked how it had magic, but it wasn't like Harry Potter.

Haley
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is amazing! There are no words to express the greatness of this book. One of the many things I loved about it though is that it wasn't predictable at all! A lot of books I read are very predictable, but I was happy that this one was not. I think this would be a great movie if they ever made it into one. I bow down to Becca Fitzpatrick. She is one of a kind. I recommend this book to the "peeps" out there that love a good romance story, want an unpredictable read or are fans of Stephenie Meyer or Maggie Stiefvater.

Lauren
Recycler by Lauren McLaughlin
Rating: 4 Stars
An absolutely hilarious read about a girl named Jill. She's normal except for the fact that she turns into Jack for four days a month, a guy who's dating her best friend. Awkward, funny and thought-provoking.

Lollipop
The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall
Rating: 5 Stars
It is an amazing book! I loved the plot, characters, humor --- everything!

Samantha
Specials by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
I love The Uglies series. I just got this book, and so far I'm at the part where Tally and Shay are asking Zane where the new smoke is. Personally, David is my favorite because he was the first, but I like them both and think Zane is right. Now that Tally is Special, I think she has a different kind of lesion. They make them think clear but bad thoughts. I love Scott Westerfeld.

Sara
Little Black Lies by Tish Cohen
Rating: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved this book! Not only did it discuss OCD, a topic that is not often explored in books, but it also was a great romance and coming-of-age story!

Samantha
Vampire Diaries Series by L.J. Smith
Rating: 5 Stars
It is so good. If you are a fan of Edward and Bella, read this. Go get it right now. It is nothing like the show. The books are way better. These books have more traditional vampires. Damon is my favorite.

Samantha
Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant by Darren Shan
Rating: 5 Stars
I didn't even know this book was a movie. I was just at Borders one day trying to find a good fantasy book because I love them. I picked this up, started reading it and fell in love. The other day, I saw the commercial for the movie and I was like, "OMG! That's my book." It is amazing. If you like freaky stuff you have to read this. It really makes you believe it is real.

Meghan
Night by Elie Wiesel
Rating: 5 Stars
An incredibly moving Holocaust memoir.

Addy
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
OMG! I don't want to give anything away but it's better than the first!

Meghan
Going Bovine by Libba Bray
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is completely different from The Gemma Doyle Trilogy, but equally amazing. It's insane, awesome and thought-provoking. Definitely recommended.

Emmy
The Taste of Night by R.L. Stine
Rating: 5 Stars
It has action and it's awesome. It's the second book in the Dangerous Girls series. It also has a touch of romance mixed in with action, betrayal, sisterhood and a little bit of adventure. This book is awesome!

Savannah
Evermore by Alyson Noel
Rating: 5 Stars
This book has a well thought out storyline, and you'll fall in love. I literally could not put it down! The next book in the series is called BLUE MOON --- also amazing. Read it!

Catherine
The Kindly Ones by Jonthan Littell
Rating: 5 Stars
It was extremely descriptive and realistic. The narrator was excellent.

Shayla
King of the Screwups by K.L. Going
Rating: 4 Stars
I love the characters Liam and Aunt Pete. Everyone wants their parents to love them for themselves or make their parents happy.

Bella
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this series and was pleased when, after reading THE HUNGER GAMES, I learned it's a trilogy! I couldn't put it down once I began, and ended up with another sleepless (though happy) night. I'm an impatient person so waiting for the next book will be hard, but it's worth it. It's a great blend of futuristic and mythical, and it was cool to read what inspired the author: the story of Theseus and the reality TV craze.

Parthenia
The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill
Rating: 4 Stars
THE CRY OF THE ICEMARK is the debut of the Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill. It can be described as a light hybrid of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis due to the lore of battles and creatures. As a great admirer of strong female characters, I can wholly admit that I bonded with the main character, the warrior princess Thirrin, as she struggled for the survival against the greatest of odds to defeat the evil Polypontian empire not only for herself, but for her people. Hill's style of writing is surprisingly refreshing, albeit a bit fast paced, as I just couldn't put it down. I recommend it to any one who loved books like THE HUNGER GAMES or GRACELING.

Andrea
We All Fall Down by Robert Cormier
Rating: 5 Stars
This books is really great! It makes you think. I'm really glad I got this book! I would recommend it for anyone who wants a good read.

After the Moment by Garret Freymann-Weyr
Rating: 3 Stars
This book seemed more like a "guy book." I grew to like the characters, but overall the story was very depressing.

Kaitlin
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
This book changed my life. Well, maybe not "changed," but it really made me take a step back and think. I loved it. It was fantastic. I have suggested this book to all of my friends and family. My sister read both THE HUNGER GAMES and then CATCHING FIRE, and they both loved the books too.

Callie
When It Happens by Susane Colasanti
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a love story told from the alternating views of a boy and a girl. It would seem like any other love story, but there's friendship and family in it too that play a large role. The book is really good. Read it!

Callie
Elphame's Choice by P.C. Cast
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a really good book. It combines fantasy and a long lost world with finding your place in the world. Elphame is born out of the marriage of a centaur and a human. She is unique in that she's a human with two legs with hooves and fur. She never belongs anywhere and she believes she will never find her "life-mate," the one who she'll spend the rest of her life with. She goes to restore an old castle. There everything and more happens, but some is for the good and some is for the bad.

MI@
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Rating: 5 Stars
It's a refreshing change from the Twilight mania that has ensued lately. City of Bones is a great supernatural/sci-fi read that, although it has vampires in it, is completely unique.

Karen
Artichoke's Heart by Suzanne Supplee
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a must read for anyone who's different in a way that everyone else feels like they have to correct. I loved Rosemary, the overweight girl struggling with her eating and her self-esteem, and I also loved how well the author captured the relationship between Rosemary and her mother, who wants to help her lose weight, but ends up making her feel like she's not good enough as she is. It's a wonderful, wonderful book.

Maria
The Pigman by Paul Zindel
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a very emotional story for me to read. The ending was kind of abrupt, but it flowed nicely together. I would say that this is Paul Zindel's best book.

Maria
Impossible by Nancy Werlin
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved reading this book! It was kind of sad, but it had a good ending. The novel seemed to have a sci-fi twist to it, but not so much that it was hard to read. IMPOSSIBLE was an extraordinary book, and I recommend it to everyone.

Callie
Airhead by Meg Cabot
Rating: 4 Stars
Don't let the cover put you off. Or the title. AIRHEAD is about a brainiac girl who gets put in the body of a supermodel when a giant tv falls on her. She can't tell anyone who she really is, and she finds that being a supermodel is a lot harder than anyone thought. To top things off, she thinks that her company is going corrupt and turning to the dark side. It's a really good book and the characters are realistic. It's the real world, but where some people are more than they appear.

Callie
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This was (is!) one of the best books I've ever read and I've read a lot of books. It's kind of sci-fi, but also romance and figuring out who you are in a world of aliens (literally). It was written as an adult book but I know many teenagers who loved it. Trust me and read it. It's one of the best books you'll ever read.

Callie
Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is really good, but don't read it at night because you'll be scared out of your wits. It goes from one monster to the next, but also has side plots which make the story good. I recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy mixed with the real world.

Callie
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a good book, but it's not for readers under probably 13. It's about the tapes from a girl who committed suicide. The tapes are her note. It alternates between the tapes and the thoughts of the guy listening to the tapes. And the scary thing is, everyone who has received the tapes is a reason why she committed suicide. It's not monster scary, but more mind scary.

Callie
The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor
Rating: 4 Stars
Really good. I loved it because it told the "real" story of Alice in Wonderland. Alice isn't her real name and she's not from England. She's Princess Alyss Heart who escaped her queendom when her aunt took over and killed her parents. She is trapped in London for many years before she is found by her caretaker and when she goes back, no one, least of all she, is sure that she can become queen.

Callie
A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a good book, but probably for ages 15 and up unless you're a really mature 13 or 14 year old. It's written as an adult book. It's a memoir about many things that the woman, Cupcake Brown, went through in her teen years. Some of the hard issues in this book are drugs, alcohol and abusive foster parents. Even though all this though, the author has moments that make the story happy at times. I suggest reading it because if you do, you will never think about drugs or alcohol in the same way ever again.

Callie
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. Some people suggested it to me and I didn't think I would like it, but then I read it and it was AMAZING! The main character, Katsa, has a special skill, or a Grace, for killing. At least, that's what she thinks. Katsa doesn't want to be the killer, the one people are afraid of, and the one who does all her uncle's, the king's, dirty work. Finding an escape, she goes on an adventure with a prince from a neighboring kingdom who is more than she thought. Together, they must find the center of the corruption in the seven kingdoms.

Callie
L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad
Rating: 4 Stars
Two girls who move to L.A. get asked to be on a reality show. Jackpot right? Wrong. They're whole lives get messed up, including their friendships and crushes. Written by a woman who probably has first hand experience, this is a must read. I liked it a lot and have never read anything quite like it.

Alexandria
The It Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
Rating: 4 Stars
This book pulls you in. You feel like you are part of the story watching it all unfold. It's so good you won't want to put it down.

Callie
Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Rating: 5 Stars
I wrote all the books in the title because I believe they are all amazing. The series is about a girl who is "marked" as a vampire. She goes to boarding school where everyone there is a vampire. It starts out with the heroine, Zoe, getting rid of the meanest girl in school who takes advantage of everyone and who everyone is afraid of, and escalates to Zoe trying to save the whole world from darkness. The characters are realistic and even though Zoe is a vampire, all girls can relate to her because she goes through the same stuff ordinary girls do like cliques, boys, etc.

Addy
Cataylst by Laurie Halse Anderson
Rating: 4 Stars
Its not one of her better books but still really good. All about a girl going through a friends death and her own anorexia.

Michelle
Velocity by Dean Koontz
Rating: 5 Stars
This book constantly kept me interested. I would fall asleep reading it and wake up and read some more. I didn't want to stop reading it.

Emily
Evernight by Claudia Gray
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book better than TWILIGHT!! It is another vampire romance but not as you expect. It may be confusing at first, but it is really good. (Be prepared for some heavy make out scenes).

Mounica
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Rating: 3 Stars
I liked it and it was pretty interesting actually (the bees, the Boatright sisters, the writing style). However, sometimes I felt that the story was unbelievable, too dramatic, and stretched out too long.

Courtney
Wings by Aprilynne Pike
Rating: 4 Stars
I just finishe Wings and it was one of the best fantasy books I've read in a long time, and I read a lot! It was written well and I could keep up with it easily.

Jess
Skybreaker by Kenneth Oppel
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is a very satisfying sequel to AIRBORN. I would recommend it to anyone who has read the first book.

Stevie
Geektastic by Various
Rating: 4 Stars
GEEKTASTIC is an amazing book, I love all the different short stories. My favorite thing about this book is all of the geeky references and how generally nerdy this book was. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Katiebug92
Poison Study by Maria v Snyder
Rating: 4 Stars
I am halfway through this book & so far so good! The book was sent to me by harlequinteenpanel.com for free! its the first book I've received from them, and I like it so far!

Kathleen
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 4 Stars
Really interesting concept - in a world where everyone turns pretty on their 16th birthday, what does anyone have to be sad about? Obviously there's more to the world than meets the eye.

I found it a bit predictable but the characters are fairly convincing (though I felt the character development could have been done a bit better). It fell a bit flat for me, honestly. It was one of those books that I really wanted to like but it felt a bit preachy in parts. Not sure if I'll read Pretties or not. Am sort of curious to see what goes on, but on the other hand so many books, so little time.

Meevee
Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was emotionally intense. There were moments when I had to put the book down and just think about how crazy and sad everything was. I was desperate for a happy ending and was worried there wouldn't be one.

I don't want to give too much away, but basically the book is about a girl who was kidnapped when she was really young. She is almost a teenager now and sill lives with her captor. He is a bad person and she is afraid of him, but realizes that if she doesn't act soon, she will soon be killed and replaced with a new, younger girl. What will she risk for the dream of being reunited with her family? Who will she betray?

Kat Fish
River Secrets by Shannon Hale
Rating: 5 Stars
Shannon Hale is one of my favorite authors of all time and this book couldn't be better.

katiebug92
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was amazing! If you hadn't read it or the first book in the series (THE HUNGER GAMES) do so now, lol. It's awesome.

Mrs. Shealy
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
Phenomenal! I love Suzanne Collins' books and CATCHING FIRE is just as good as HUNGER GAMES.

Liz
Being Nikki by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
It is the sequel to AIRHEAD and I think it is better then the first book. Meg Cabot is such a great author! I can't wait until the next book comes out, RUNAWAY.

Liz
I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was awesome if you like ghost stories and books told in poems.

Taymiah
Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a great book for anyone who loves fantasy! I really enjoyed it, its filled with vampires, wolves and full of suspense. Its a great read.

dKatrina
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rating: 3 Stars
Im still getting used to the style of language in the book... but so far so good...

Sofia A.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Rating: 5 Stars
This is really great novel about a boys journey to finding a treasure. It is very interesting and different from many books. Anyone will enjoy it because of the life lessons that can be learned from this book.

willhonordobby
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
It is the best series in the world, other than Harry Potter, of course.

Addy
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
OMG!!!!!! I loved this book...I read it before when it came out but i am re-reading it because I want to catch up so i know exactly what's going on when i read the new sequel!!!!! :D

Rose
Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas
Rating: 4 Stars
Definitely one of the better harlequin romances I've read lately; however, it's still definitely a harlequin romance. Thus the loss of the one star.

Rose
The Cipher by Diana Pharaoh Francis
Rating: 4 Stars
I really liked the characters in this book: Lucy and Marten were both adorably flawed, and their relationship was interesting, if undeveloped. However, I felt as though the book had some potential that was never really developed. What I mean to say is that although its a book of political intrigue, that part didn't seem to be that central to the book - even though its one of the main premises.

Rose
The Raging Quiet by Sherryl Jordan
Rating: 4 Stars
The worst part of this book is how the characters pissed me off. The antagonists are stupid, selfish, and, as a result, underdeveloped. There is nothing about them to appreciate. However, the relationship between Marnie and Raven is interesting, as are their attempts at sign language.

Rose
Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher
Rating: 4 Stars
I found the premise of this book really, really clever: Hannah, who committed suicide, striking out at those who caused it from the grave. Through tapes recorded before her death. On the other hand, the narrative wasn't so provoking and real as Clay's reactions made it seem. His experiences during and after hearing the tapes don't really make sense to me, because I don't feel what he - apparently - feels while listening.

Rose
The Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamant
Rating: 3 Stars
Interesting characters, really boring novel.

Rose
Prayers for the Assassin by Robert Ferrigno
Rating: 5 Stars
Absolutely one of the best books I've read all summer; there's romance, but most of it takes place before the beginning of the book, so it's not overwhelming. There's action, but not things mindlessly exploding. There's political intrigue, but not so much that I have no idea what's going on. There's religious tension, but not so much that I feel that I'm reading some thinly veiled criticism on the world today.

Rose
Babylonne by Catherine Jinks
Rating: 2 Stars
I'm not sure what I was expecitng going into this book, but I definitely didn't find it. I foudn the main protagonist (Babylonne) insufferable, the narrative style (basically flow of thought, I think?) really confusing and detracting from the overall story, and the plot (as far as I know, something about the Crusades) not good enough to make up for it.

Rose
North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
Rating: 5 Stars
Beautiful character development, not only of the main character but everyone who surrounds her. Interesting crafty backstory, amazingly troubled family history, and fantastic characters.

Kristin Howard
Before I Die by Jenny Downham
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is one where you dive in thinking you know exactly how your going to feel about it from the beginning. As it goes on you make predictions and are often right. Then you fall in deep. You get caught up in a tide wave of emotions for the character, and when what you predicted happens, you ache like you've never ached before. I loved the characters in this novel, and only the stoniest of hearts could not burn with angst for the fate of Tessa, and the life she isn't afraid to lose to her leukemia, but the love she isn't ready to give up. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a amazing read!

Rose
The Juliet Club by Suzanne Harper
Rating: 4 Stars
Really, really interesting characters - except perhaps the main ones.

Rose
That Summer by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 3 Stars
Definitely not as good as some of her others.

Annaliesa
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Rating: 3 Stars
This book was really good. It had action and romance and mystery. The plot is very good and it's written well also. It's kind of sad though but besides that it's a great read.

Alison
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
When I read TTHE HUNGER GAMES, I didn't think any book would be as amazing as it was. But when I got the sequel, it was just as amazing. Every page made me gasp as the book got more and more intense. A must read!

Warda
Kiss of Life by Daniel Waters
Rating: 4 Stars
I like this book, it is the sequel to GENERATION DEAD, and both of the books are great. I am not quite finished reading the book yet but intend on finishing it today.

Adrienne

Nicole
Paradise Lost by Kate Brian
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this series!

Melanie
Same Difference by Siobhan Vivian
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was great! It had well rounded characters, and a very interesting plot line.

Shardaye
Kissed By an Angel Series by Elizabeth Chandler
Rating: 3 Stars
This book contains all three stories that make up the series and follows the life of angel enhusiast Ivy, after her boyfriend Tristan dies in a tragic car accident. Thrown into the depths of despair at her loss, Ivy blames the angels and wants nothing more to do with them. Little does she know however that Tristan becomes reincarnated as her guardian angel and a touching and heart wrenching story ensues as Tristan endeavours to save Ivy from the person who orchestrated hi own death. This story is filled with romance (obviously), suspense, and mystery and Chandler proves to be a skilled writer who can weave subtle undertones to a novel that lead to a dramatic climax. I was in tears by the end, a very emotive book, that comes highly recommended by this reader.

Shardaye
Poisin Study by Maria V. Synder
Rating: 3 Stars
A great introduction into the world of Yelena Zaltana. It has all the aspects of a great story: adventure, romance and mystery all rolled into one easy to read package. I absolutely loved Valek. This book entrances its' readers and I can speak from experience that you will not be able to put it down until you read the very last page.

The Noah Confessions by Barbara Hall
Rating: 5 Stars
THE NOAH CONFESSIONS is a story about Lynnie Russo, who on her 16th birthday expects a car, but instead receives her mother's old charm bracelet. To get back at her father for giving her such a gift, she ditches school and goes to the beach to learn to surf. The rebellion leads to her father giving her a long letter written by her mother. She begins to read it and is sucked into the secret life her mother lived. An excellent read for those intrigued with mystery.

Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

This book kept me reading until 1 in the morning. It is amazing and I cried for about an hour while I was reading. It is just amazing.

Severa
Far From You by Lisa Schroeder
Rating: 5 Stars
This was an excellent book. I love books that are in poetic format, it makes them a quicker and lite read. This book had a great message to it and made me think about how I treat my family and how I should change myself, and not take my family and my friends for granted. You never know when something tragic might happen, so you should forgive and forget. Always live life to the fullest, as if you'll die in a few hours. Then maybe we can all experience life as if we've just entered it every single day. Wonderful book, I recommend it to everyone.
