First Term At Silver SPires by Ann Bryant
Rating: 5 Stars
I think this book is amazing, It tells you all about boarding school. It's really fascinating!

Bonny
The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm about halfway through and I can't put it down. This sequel to THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH is even better than the first. I was lucky enough to snag an advanced copy at ALA Mid-winter. I hear that a third book is already in the works.

Jijiy
The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this novel because it is so full of love and mystery. I am 100% sure that all teenage girls would love it.

Catherine
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith
Rating: 1 Stars
I hated it. I thought it was butchering Jane Austen, a genius of her time.

Kanika
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Rating: 5 Stars
Really good.

BrittLit
The Espressologist by Kristina Springer
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a very original and exciting idea for a story that has been told many times. The classic boy likes girl, boys liking goes over girls head, girl wants other boy, girl realizes what just happened; now with the Espressologist fun. I really agree that people can be defined by what they really like to eat and drink, like if a couple buys sandwiches and one always gets hots and one never does... it probably isn't going to work out too well. I enjoyed how real everyone seemed even though they only graced a few pages. This was a fantastic read and I think everyone should pick it up. Kristina had the right blend of romance, heartbreak, sugar and spice. Definitely a delightful read.

Jessica
The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches 3 by Robert Stanek
Rating: 5 Stars
So far, the books are awesome. They have romance, mystery and action. It's about a boy named Vilmos and a girl named Adrina. Their kingdom is dying and they are trying to save it. Adrina meets the king of the dragons in his secret tower. It's really good.

Stephanie
Ex-Mas by Kate Brian
Rating: 4 Stars
A story chock full of cute banters and happy-go-lucky dialogue. The main character must chase her little brother and his friend to the North Pole with her bitter ex-boyfriend. It was predictable, but adorable at the same time.

Eli
In the Service of Dragons by Robert Stanek
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm totally obsessed with this series, much more than I was with TWILIGHT. I wish that I had Vilmos and Dri as friends in my life. This was an excellent balance of adventure, action and romance. I am so sad that there is not another new series, but I definitely thought that this book had a good ending!

John
Gracling by Kristen Cashore
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was one of the most amazing fantasy books I have read to date. All of the characters were fleshed out beautifully, with Katsa and Po being amazingly deep, and the world itself was so real it was uncanny. The love story behind it was equally great, putting TWILIGHT to shame with it's realism and honesty. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Nikki
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the best romance novel ever written! It's about finding real love and understanding what it meant; it's a love story readers will remember forever.

God, I love this book --- it made me cry really hard :( I strongly suggest this to everyone (guys included)!

Lauren Marie
When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
Rating: 4 Stars
At the beginning, I was a little skeptical. It was a little slow for me. The plot was a little hard to understand at first, but when the action picked up, i found myself liking it more. The ending was great and it was worded really well. In a way, the story was really sad --- it made me cry a little bit.

Rose
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy
Rating: 4 Stars
The writing was beautiful and the setting --- near the beginning of the French Revolution --- flawless, but the absolute lack of romantic development (I thought you loved me! I don't! ... Ohmyword, I just realized you love me! I do? Yes! And I love you!) was what lost the novel its fifth star.

Carol
Dragon's Pearl by Devin Jordan
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a fantasy about Marco Polo as a teenager. Marco learns his father has been kidnapped while trading for goods in Asia, and so he determines to rescue him. Marco and his best friend, a servant, have adventures (good and bad) across the long expanse of Asia, to Peking, China, and beyond.

Amanda
The Nanny DIaries by Emma McLauglin and Nicola Kraus
Rating: 5 Stars
Awesome book. It made me laugh, tear up, and become very angry at the Xes haha. :)

Emily
Lockdown by Alexander Gordon Smith
Rating: 4 Stars
This book isn't the usual genre I read but from the second I picked it up, I was hooked. It was incredibly written, kept me wanting to read more, and left me on the edge of my seat for the sequel. Overall, this was an excellent U.S. premiere for Smith.

Mickayla
Deadville by Ron Koertge
Rating: 4 Stars
it was a really good book that kept me interested!

Summer
Catching Fire by Collins
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. I find it better than TWILIGHT. I like TWILIGHT but The Hunger games Trilogy is way better, in my opinion.

Mykaekah
Blood Promise by Richelle Mead
Rating: 5 Stars
I really loved this book. I think it's probably the best in the Vampire Academy series. It's my favourite because Rose meets her father without knowing it and she meets another shadow-kissed pair, while in Russia when she's off to kill Dimitri. It's so good.

Chrissa
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved this book. Not only does it keep you wanting to read more but I liked it because it shows how far some people are willing to go to get what they want. I could relate to a lot of the situations the main character, Tally, has to go through.

Sara G
Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves
Rating: 5 Stars
This is an amazing debut horror/YA novel! Read it!

Karlie
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
This is one of the best books ever! It shows how much we need someone when we don't think we do! Sarah Dessen's books are my absolute favorites.

Ally
Exit Here by Jason Myers
Rating: 4 Stars
Yes, there are a lot of vulgar words but it's a must read. I have to say it is one of my favorite books but please don't read it if you're 14 and younger.

Sarah Deringer
In the Arms of Immortals by Ginger Garrett
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about angels taking the nurse from the first book in the series, IN THE SHADOW OF LIONS, on an adventure to historic Italy. There she has the chance to see the story of people who suffered from the epidemics in Sicily, 1347. It's really good.

Jessi
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Rating: 5 Stars
This is my favorite book...even though it tends to be really difficult to understand. Once you get past the odd language its a truly amazing love story.

Casandra
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott fitzgerald
Rating: 3 Stars
This book is pretty cool. It has all the makings of a true classic. It has lies, betrayal, ignorance, wealth and everything in between. Don't think I will be able to put it down.

Angel
Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Rating: 5 Stars
I know this book came out a long time ago, but I just finished it recently and I thought it was AWESOME! I normally wouldn't read these kind of books, but it looked really good so I ended up reading it. One word, AWESOME. (And also, it's about angels, my name's Angel. Awesome!)

Mimi
The Clique: Charmed and Dangerous by Lisi Harrison
Rating: 5 Stars
I couldn't stop. I just couldn't. You have to read this but not in public because you will make weird faces and stuff while reading it. Trust me, someone said I was doing it.

Mimi
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Rating: 5 Stars
It was an amazing and a must read book.

Hannah
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Rating: 5 Stars
This book kept me reading! It was so awesome that even my teachers recommended it to their students. I think that this will be the next TWILIGHT. It was very entertaining without being too much. I also feel like it compels you to read the next book just to find out what happens.

Casandra
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I started the Twilight saga after all the initial movie hype died down. It is amazing. If I didn't have so much school work I would totally be reading it right now.

Karalynn
Tricksters Queen by Tamora Poerce
Rating: 4 Stars
I love romance and historical fiction. This book combines the two while creating a world unique with itself.

Hannah
Impossible by Nancy Werlin
Rating: 4 Stars
This book kept me so interested that I could not put it down! It wasn't that hard to figure out but there were also two ways it could go. I would suggest it to anyone who likes love stories or fantasies.

MUSIC=LIFE
Thirteen by Lauren Myracle
Rating: 5 Stars
Whenever I need a break from the suckishness of life, I turn to Lauren Myracle's books. This was my favorite to read out of the Winnie Series. I *CAN'T* wait until THIRTEEN PLUS ONE. I'll be the first to buy it.

MUSIC=LIFE
Twelve by Lauren Myracle
Rating: 5 Stars
Fantastic sequel. I found myself laughing every few seconds. Absolutely easy to relate to. Lauren Myracle can easily get inside of a young teen girl.

MUSIC=LIFE
Eleven by Lauren Myracle
Rating: 5 Stars
Full of humor and a wonderful novel to read when you're becoming a teen.

Rose
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Rating: 3 Stars
While this book was good on a purely shallow level, I felt that it wasn't as appealing as the cover and even the summary made it seem. Patch was interesting in his own way, but the development of his character was so spotty that I never considered him as an interesting love interest. Nora, for me, was ruined from the very beginning by virtue of having the name Nora. (In my mind, Nora is a name reserved for boring people and fat cats.) Other than that, she was flat and rather boring. The sheer blindness of her best friend, Vee, with whom she shared nothing and seemed not even to be friends with, was also less than pleasing. It seemed to me that the book promoted the very aloneness of her character, that she really had no one - she tells, after all, absolutely no one about her escapades with Patch.

Leslie
Good Enough by Paula Yoo
Rating: 5 Stars
Great read about the pressure of over achievers. Loved the characters. Realistic and down to earth.

Jordan
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book. I started reading it and I couldn't put it down. I felt like I was in the story with the characters and went through the emotional highs and lows with them.

Dee
Crash Into Me by Albert Borris
Rating: 5 Stars
A book I was not able to put down. Incredible. This book gave me such an eye-opening experience regarding teenagers and the thirst for real life, not the unwanted life.

Rose
Brainships by Anne McCaffrey, Margaret Ball, Mercedes Lackey
Rating: 4 Stars
I really, really liked this book, actually a collection of two books. I especially appreciated that it explored personal development before romantic development; however, I felt (contradictorily) that it neglected the development of the romantic side of the story, relying instead on eleventh-hour epiphanies. I felt that the writing was good, and the plot interesting enough to keep me going. I also found it remarkably realistic - this is a story I could believe in occurring in the very distant future.

Subrina
Willow by Julia Hoban
Rating: 5 Stars
This a really good book about a girl that is struggling to find a place in her brother's house after her parents die.

Jaida
The Absolutely True Diary or a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Rating: 5 Stars
I like this book because it is about a kid who wanted to be different and do something with his life no matter what the people in his reservation think.

Jaida
Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
Rating: 5 Stars
This was one of the best books that I have ever read. It's about a girl who loses her memory in an accident. When she goes back to her life she doesn't know who she is anymore and she wonders why her life was the way it was.

Jaida
Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
Rating: 5 Stars
This story is different than anything that I have ever read but it was great. It is about a girl who dies and is taken on a ship to a place called Elsewhere where everyone gets younger and when they are a baby they go back to Earth. I couldn't put this book down. It was a really unusual but a nice story that I would recommend.

LoveStoryAddict
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: 5 Stars
SHIVER was a truly heart-warming, delectable, and incredibly passion filled story. I absolutely loved it. The love the main characters felt for each other easily penetrated my heart as the reader. Amazing.

Hayley
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 4 Stars
The Twilight series is awesome, in my opinion. If you're a team Jacob fan, you'll like this book.

Alison
Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr
Rating: 5 Stars
I never thought the Wicked Lovely series could get any better! The whole book had me gasping and wondering what choice Aislinn would make next and whether or not Keenan and Donia would remain friends. If you love fairytale pulled into reality, this book is for you!

Laura
The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
Rating: 5 Stars
The whole series is super great. I finished the first four books. If loved the books. It has action, mystery, love, and vampires. You'll be able to finish each book in one day.

Aly

It's Nazi Germany and Liesel is the book thief. Adopted by her foster parents, she learns to read and write and falls in love. Her family hides a Jew and Liesel keeps stealing books. It is an epic novel that will tough your heart and is absolutely splendid. It's a must read and so far I am really enjoying it.

Mac
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was happy, sad, emotional, and very powerful. It told how no matter what you do in life you can not always have it perfect. This book will make you laugh and cry. After you finish the book you will have a different look at life. In short, this was an amazing book.

Elaine Duncan

Nessa
Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
Rating: 5 Stars
Great Book!!!

This is a sequel to the book EVERMORE and although it is not as great as the first book, it is still really good. Eve has to face an imposing problem, and makes a huge decision that can affect her life forever. You would have to read the first book to understand this one.

Catherine

It's a amazing story of hard work and addiction.

Emily B.
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a amazing book. The ending will definitely catch you off guard.

KKG
No Right Turn by Terry Truman
Rating: 3 Stars
Interesting but not too realistic. I mean stealing the car out of you neighbor's garage that many times and not getting caught...sure! However, I liked the premise.

Tae Tae
Shadowland by Alyson Noel
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was just absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed all the parts of it. The plot, the writing, all of it! I love it how Alyson Noel kept the story interesting by all the dilemmas between Ever and Damen. I especially love Roman and his wicked ways. I can't wait for the fourth one to come out!

Ashley
NOT Anything by Carmen Rodrigues
Rating: 5 Stars
This book touches my heart, because I know how it feels to lose someone you love, and how difficult it is to get back on your feet. This book describes the life of a teenage girl struggling, while the whole world is moving forward, she is still stuck in the past.

Ashley =D
Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen
Rating: 5 Stars
This book made me anxious, angry, regretful, happy, and sad.I believe that in order for a book to be good, it has to make your heart lose control. The ending wasn't to my liking, but overall, the emotions I felt while reading this book was overwhelming. It's weird how you can not notice that the one you truly love is in front of your nose, but you avoid it. I believe love is as blind as people say it is, and this book has made it more lucid.

Clarissa
North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was really good. It shows how looks and popularity really do not matter and all that should matter is your personality and actions.

Ashley =D
Sweethearts by Sara Zarr
Rating: 5 Stars
Wow...I love this book so much. I've read TWILIGHT and love it also, but I believe that when love is realistic it is more beautiful than one that can only be written and not brought to life. This book touches my heart in so many different levels. It left me hungry for more, love is so unbelievably strong and vulnerable, and it is shown clearly in this book. Just writing a recommendation for this book makes me want to read it again. This book is beautiful, truly beautiful. Please read it, because it really is worth the time.

Alexandria
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was great! If you liked THE HUNGER GAMES you'd like this. It scared me so badly that after I was done reading it I couldn't go to sleep! Carrie Ryan could have written it better but the exciting plot and the never-going-to-know-whats-going-to-happen-next feeling the book gives you is all so worth it.

Elizabeth
The Seven Rays by Jessica Bendinger
Rating: 4 Stars
It was slow to start but by chapter 3 or so, I was addicted to this book and couldn't put it down!

Rachel
Trojan Gold by Elizabeth Peters
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the third book in the Vicky Bliss series. the books are about a very intelligent woman who is always getting into trouble because her boss thinks of her as a minor league detective. the books were written for adults but i enjoy them. I do think they are more appropriate more for mature teens though. this is a wonderful mystery series.

Angie Lindell
The Luxe by Anna Godbersen
Rating: 4 Stars
Really enjoyable start to a great YA historical fiction series. Lots of romance, star-crossed and faked, scandals, and awesome gossip! Lol. It was a lot of fun!

Liz E.

Rating: 5 Stars
This was one of the best books I've read in a long time. I couldn't stop reading!

Ravneet
Splendor by Anna Godbersen
Rating: 4 Stars
What I love about this series is the fact that you can get so caught up in all the poof and beauty of the 19-20th century. It almost feels as if you're living in that time period.

The fascinating end to the series had me on my toes. I actually liked this conclusion, even though I did not agree with some of the stuff that occurred. I think the author has doen a magnificent job at capturing the personalities of the characters through the duration of this series.

The Beautiful Between by Alyssa Sheinmel
Rating: 4 Stars
There are so few books that keep your mind thinking long past the final page, past turning off the light, and long into the next week. Few books can unearth such raw and powerful passion that moves humans as a whole. This book is full of strong, lovable characters that journey through a heartfelt and moving story full of twists. On each page life oozes from the lines as Alyssa Sheinmel gives us a glance into the depths of the human heart with her account of human suffering and companionship. This book left me wanting to live to the fullest with a new zeal and passion for life that can be hard to describe on paper.

Alix
The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury
Rating: 5 Stars
I recently finished THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and I absolutely loved it. Bradbury is an amazing author, and it's incredible how much emotion he can pack into each short story. There's something for everyone in this book- haunting stories, bittersweet endings, and psychological mind-benders. Although Bradbury's flowery prose and lengthy descriptions are difficult to read at times, I know this will remain a favorite for a long time.

Super Schafsnitz
Dial L for Loser by Lisi Harrison
Rating: 4 Stars
DIAL L FOR LOSER is hillarious, but it makes you wonder if any of the scenes could happen in real life. Anyway, aside from that I enjoyed it.

Hattie
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
Rating: 4 Stars
I love this book because it's making me think about what it is that makes us human. I think that this book is a good one for discussion and could be used to debate whether or not our society should encourage increased medical exploration into things like artificial limbs.

Nessa

Burned by Ellen Hopkins
Rating: 5 Stars
After reading this, Identical--which is also another one of Ellen Hopkins amazing books--is no longer my favorite book. BURNED was incredible, I couldn't believe how much effect this book could have over me. I love Ellen Hopkins writing style, it's so poetic, and addicting. The best thing was, it made me cry. Every girl who has her doubt with faith, religion, and love, should read this book. Well, anybody should read this book.

Casandra
Freaky Green Eyes by Joyce Carol Oates
