Dear Readers,
Sarah is away this week on a family vacation in Canada, so I took over and decided to give
the newsletter a little shake up.
Just want to see if you are paying attention!
The last time I went on vacation with my family, my mother pulled across three lanes of
crazy trucker traffic on I-40 somewhere in Texas, parked on the shoulder, got out and
screamed at me and my grandmother that if we didn't stop back seat driving and flipping
the radio stations she was going to walk all the way home. (To give you some perspective
on the distance, my family lives in Connecticut)
Oh what a fun trip! And that was five years ago. We haven't gone on a family vacation
since...
Did you go away with the 'rents this year? Tell us your favorite (or least favorite)
vacation memory from 2001.

What readers had to say about MTV's 20th anniversary:
MTV started out to play music videos, now the only time that is done is at 3 in the
morning, and its usually something terrible like Nelly.
The videos are more realistic than in past years. The shows are more interesting and fun.
Seriously, why can't MTV have things that interest more people (besides overtly horny guys
and wannabes) but guests who actually make a difference in the world?
I think the reason why so many people enjoy it is because its a way to escape to a fantasy
rock star world...I don't miss MTV and I am a recovered wannabe rock star/real worlder.
I don't believe MTV is a good influence because along with all the music videos and
commentary, they also throw a lot of sexual content out to a young crowd.
