Dear Readers,
Sometimes having fun is not about where you go, but about who youre standing next
to when you get there. Have you ever noticed that? This weekend I went to an art opening.
Now don't go rolling your eyes, calling me a wannabe high-culturess --- I only went to
this party because I was broke and looking for some free food. So there.
Anyway, I was just hanging out by the spring rolls when who should miraculously turn up next to me? That's right! Everybody's favorite adorable alterna-teen actress turned snooty Ivy-Leaguer, Claire Danes!! I was torn as to whether I should play it cool and ignore her or play it intensely uncool and invade her personal space while gushing about what a big fan I used to be before she started getting a little big for her britches and hanging out with Gwennie and Winona. I, of course, opted for the second scenario.
Ever had an embarrassing brush with fame? You know we want to hear all about it: Talkback@teenreads.com
