Dear Readers,

There's excitement in the air here at Teenreads, and it's not just because the holidays are upon us. We're all giddy over the fact that the site is going to featured on TV next week!! Our fearless leader Carol Fitzgerald will be featured on CBS This Morning on Thursday, December 20th at exactly 8:17am ET (that's Eastern Time...not sure what time the show airs in other time zones but I'm sure if you check your local listings you can find out). She'll be talking about reading and teens and Teenreads --- three of our favorite subjects!! So, if you have time before school, please check it out. If not, tape it.

Let us know what you thought of the segment: Talkback@teenreads.com.

Oh, and if I don't talk to you before then --- Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good read!!

The Teenreads Pre-College Canon...
Will Britney's book be on either Sarah or Serena's new lists? Hmm, should you ever find yourself in a college class discussing HEART TO HEART or A MOTHER'S GIFT, I'd asked for my tuition back. Read on for our thoughts on some actually good books to read before leaving for the four shortest years of your life.

Best Books of 2001...
It's always hard to choose the Ten Best Books of the Year, but this year it seemed an even more monumental task --- partly because there was just so much great literature to choose from, partly because everything pre-September 11th seems like a blur. But we did it. We plowed through tons of books and came up with our Top 10. Check it out!

OF SOUND MIND by Jean Ferris

Question of the Week...
Last time we asked:
If you could invite any character from any book over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve for dinner?

And while you're checking out how what characters other Teenreaders want to break bread with, answer our new question:
What books are on your holiday wish list? What books do you plan on buying Sarah and Serena for Christmas/Winter Solstice?
